Job Description: Punch Out Crew Member/Production Crew Member
Reports To: Crew leader/Supervisor
Classification: Non-Exempt
General Description:
The Punch Out Crew Member will be proficient in various construction tasks, including drywall repair, stucco repair, painting, and other finishing touches. The Punch Out Crew plays a crucial role in ensuring the completion of projects to the highest standards, meeting or exceeding client expectations.
Duties:
Drywall Repair:
- Identify and address any imperfections or damage in drywall surfaces.
- Skilfully patch and repair drywall to achieve a seamless and uniform finish.
- Match textures and paint colors to blend repaired areas with existing surfaces.
Stucco Repair:
- Assess and repair stucco surfaces, addressing cracks, chips, or other damages.
- Apply and blend stucco materials to match the original texture and appearance.
- Ensure the structural integrity and weather resistance of repaired stucco areas.
Painting:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed.
- Apply paint using various techniques such as rolling, brushing, or spraying.
- Ensure a high-quality finish with attention to detail, consistency, and color matching.
Quality Control:
- Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Address any deficiencies or touch-ups promptly to guarantee client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with project managers to resolve any issues related to finishing touches.
Communication:
- Maintain effective communication with team members, project managers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Report progress, challenges, and completed tasks on a regular basis.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in drywall repair, stucco repair, and painting within the construction industry.
- Pre-employment drug screen required
- Job is Monday – Friday, start and end times will vary, typically work will start around 6:30 AM. Some Saturday work is required
- Able to read a tape measure
- Must follow Fall Protection/Safety Regulations
- The ability to lift heavy materials and tools, etc. at a minimum of 50 lbs.
- The ability to use powered hand tools.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to safely climb ladders.
- Ability to withstand different climates (extreme heat and other weather).
- Ability to see.
- Ability to hear.
- Ability to communicate audibly with others.
- Significant Balance – work is done on slopes and flat roofs.
- No fear of heights.
- Dependability – jobs must be completed within certain timeframes, so workers must be able to fulfill obligations.
