What will you be doing?

  • Standard Fabrication – Utilize machinery to customize fabric belts (measuring, cutting, pressing) to customer specifications.
  • Special Fabrication – Utilize machinery to customize fabric belts (perforations, v-guides, flex cutting) to customer specifications.
  • Automated Fabrication – Utilize multiple automated machines to customize fabric belts to customer specifications.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects (A3’s). Coordinate with support departments to set and achieve targeted goals and schedule.
  • Lead LDMI (Lean Daily Management) process including daily tracking of metrics, leading review with team, presentation to leadership, and initiating and completing. corrective actions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must be cleared on any background screening
  • English literacy
  • Ability to use a calculator and a tape measure.
  • Computer skills a plus
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. Must be able to stand, walk, sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Experience as a lead in a manufacturing setting

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:

  • Performs visual quality inspection of product prior to and upon completion of assigned work.
  • Measures work piece dimensions to assess conformance.
  • Initials work order upon completion of job duty and inspection of work performed as acknowledgment of properly completing task.
  • Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces.
  • Performs a combination of production tasks, which may include: loading machinery, positioning work, setting up jobs, adjusting and operating machinery.
  • May load and unload materials, parts or products; stock to designated work areas; pack products and may clean surface of machines and work areas.
  • Operates machinery and equipment.
  • Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
  • Sets stops or guides as indicated by scale, rule or template.
  • Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.
  • Able to access databases as necessary to retrieve work instructions in order to perform work.
  • Maintain own productivity while performing the duties mentioned above.
  • Prepares material for shipping.
  • Use computer systems to find location of parts.
  • Assist with department organization relating to processing orders, directing people, answering technical questions with orders; ensure daily orders are completed by the end of day.
  • Assists department associates to maintain department and company standards by addressing situations with associates as they are discovered.
  • Reviews RMA’s and determine causes, corrections and track.
  • Identify different material types, sizes and colors.
  • Utilizes a variety of tools.

  • Coordinate and prioritize activities of workers.
  • Can adjust work assignments, repair machines, test products and train workers in equipment operations.
  • Ability to operate all machines and perform all duties of Technicians within assigned department.
  • Perform routine maintenance on a variety of machines, such as changing masks and clamps etc.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects (A3’s). Coordinate with support departments to set and achieve targeted goals and schedule.
  • Lead LDMI (Lean Daily Management) process including daily tracking of metrics, leading review with team, presentation to leadership, and initiating and completing. corrective actions.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift safety audit of department.
  • Perform daily tracking of delivery requirements to ensure high level of On-Time Delivery.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Second Shift - 3:30PM - 12:00AM (Competitive Base Pay + $1.00/hr. shift differential)
