Job Description

The MFG/CI Engineer organizes projects and activities to enhance CEG’s operations and services through the implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives, ISO Quality Management System standards, and process improvement activities. This position works with a variety of different departments and teams across the organization to support and enact improvement plans.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

(Other duties may be assigned):

Continuous Improvement:

  • Design, develop, and implement effective manufacturing processes (ensuring that they meet regulatory requirements and quality standards).
  • Develop, review, and update procedures for improving the manufacturing process.
  • Plan factory layouts and implementation of new equipment (Automation)/tools to optimize production.
  • Conduct process reviews.
  • Perform root cause analyses.
  • Develop and manage improvement plans.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and monitor progress of projects.
  • Coordinate and Facilitate Lean Events / Continuous Improvement Projects.
    1. Lead Kaizen Events.
    2. Facilitate Continuous Improvement Project Meetings.
    3. Manage implementation of improvement action items and follow up.
    4. Develop related process documentation.
  • Liaison between departments.
  • Provide training on continuous improvement and lean methodologies.
  • Provide training on manufacturing related processes.
  • Maintain and monitor KPI reports.

Supports and conforms to Quality Management System requirements as defined by CEG and ISO 9001:2015.

Participates in training activities towards the betterment of the organization and MFG/CI position.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree and equivalent experience.

• Experience in continuous improvement, manufacturing engineering, and ISO 9001 preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities.

  • Problem solving skills.

• Exceptional organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Integrity that is above reproach.
