Job Summary:
We are seeking an Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk & Office Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling various accounting tasks, including processing invoices, handling accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with general office duties. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and has excellent math and communication skills. Responsibilities:

  • Process full AP cycle: review invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies, record invoices provide appropriate coding

  • Coordinate with various departments to maintain accurate accounting records

  • Prepare and distribute accounts payable checks and maintain accurate records of transactions

  • Perform monthly corporate credit card reconciliation

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve any payment discrepancies or issues

  • Assist with the collection and posting of accounts receivable payments

  • Conduct regular reconciliations of vendor statements and follow up with vendors as necessary

  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and documentation as it pertains to accounts payable and receivable

Administrative:

  • Assist with general office duties, such as filing, data entry, and answering phone calls

  • Support the accounting team with ad-hoc tasks and special projects as needed

  • Monitor office supply levels and reorder as necessary or as management requires

  • Daily review and distribute mail correspondence to the appropriate staff

  • Assist with answering of incoming administration and other calls

  • Respond to questions, and requests from team members across the organization as needed

  • Participate in events as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred

  • Proven experience in accounts payable/receivable or general accounting

  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures

  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing accounting transactions

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Strive for accuracy and excellence

  • Display a positive attitude in the face of ambiguity and change

  • Ability to pass a basic Accounting/Basic Math with Excel Proficiency Assessment

Wage Range: $20.00 -$24.00 per hour
