Topical Blending Operator

Position Purpose and Objectives
The Topical Blending Operator is directly responsible for blending raw materials, according to procedures, using tanks, agitators, pumps, heating, cooling, and all other applicable equipment resulting in consistently repeatable topical products. She/he is responsible for the cleanliness, setup, safe operation, and disassembling of equipment, thorough and accurate completion of documentation, use of scales, meters, basic mechanical tools, and forklifts. This person is directly responsible for identifying and communicating discrepancies with raw materials, blending procedures, products, or equipment. They will thoroughly, accurately, and promptly complete all required documentation in a timely manner. They must always maintain a clean and organized work area and work both independently and as a team in the best interest of the customer and company.

Essential Job Functions
- Assemble, safely operate, and disassemble all equipment.
- Stage and verify raw materials for blending operation.
- Blend raw materials for a variety of products to specification.
- Follow blending procedures according to requirements.
- Transfer, weigh, identify, and locate finished bulk.
- Complete and maintain appropriate records accurately and timely.
- Investigate and resolve process and equipment problems.
- Communicate and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Assist in the weighing when required.
- Clean and organize work area continuously to be audit ready at all times.
- Perform any and all duties as assigned by direct report.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations and equipment.
- Ability to work and make sound decisions independently.
- Able to support team initiatives to meet deadlines of production schedule.
- Ability to manage, carryout, and prioritize departmental functions.
- Have strong organization ability and be detail oriented.
- Solid mathematical skills.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.

Supervisory Responsibility
- None.

Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years experience in manufacturing operations in the personal care sector.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Driven, organized, and detail orientated with excellent communication skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Able to lift up to 55 lbs. repetitively.
- Must understand weights and measures.
- Able to follow and complete blending procedures.
- Must be able to work independently with little direction.
- Must have strong organizational skills.
