Summary:

The ideal candidate for a Laboratory Technician position should possess a minimum of one year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting. They should demonstrate proficiency in a range of laboratory techniques including blood sampling, hematology, chemistry, microbiology, coagulation, urinalysis, and blood banking. Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and quality control procedures is essential, along with the ability to accurately record and manage data using laboratory information systems (LIS). Strong attention to detail and analytical skills are crucial for this role. Additionally, excellent communication and teamwork abilities are desired qualities. Experience in phlebotomy or working in a hospital setting would be advantageous.​​​​​

Duties
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Collect, process, and analyze samples, including blood, urine, and tissue specimens.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Prepare reagents, solutions, and media for testing purposes.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results and data management.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
Experience:
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Laboratory Technician or similar role in a clinical laboratory setting.
