Position Summary:

Learn five positions (ACH, Cards, DDA, Wires/Online Banking & ECD) within the operations department to be able to fill in where necessary. Provide technical support for troubleshooting customer issues including online banking, ancillary products, and also demonstrate exceptional customer service.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Process incoming and outgoing ACH exceptions
  • ACH Origination maintenance on Core system
  • Answer questions related to ACH, provide support to ACH Originators
  • Handle ACH disputes, DNE’s & Reclamations
  • Order new and replacement Debit/ATM cards; handle returned cards
  • Perform routine maintenance to card database, such as name changes, transaction limit increases, add or delete account numbers, delete cards, change primary account numbers, flag cards as lost/stolen, deactivate cards as directed due to fraud, NSF activity
  • Provide support relating to card transactions
  • Notify customers of compromised cards and of potentially fraudulent transactions detected through the system, order replacement cards as needed
  • Research and initiate “Reg E” disputes when appropriate, including the completion of all necessary documents and affidavits
  • Daily ATM Balancing and processing; bi-weekly Wellington ATM balancing
  • Perform review and maintenance to existing accounts on system
  • Process DDA non-posts, overdrafts and chargebacks
  • Add stop payments to system
  • Check adjustments and correction of posting errors
  • Place Holds on accounts and complete necessary follow-up
  • Process incoming and outgoing wire transfers
  • Place International Services orders (currency, drafts, travelers checks)
  • Online Banking/Bill Pay/E-statements: perform routine maintenance, research and resolve undeliverable emails, field questions and resolve issues, respond to emails, monitor support site
  • Daily mail responsibilities
  • Account reconciliation and EFTPS filing
  • Mobile Check Deposit & Remote Deposit Capture deposit reviews
  • Handle customer inquiries courteously, tactfully and competently by providing technical support on ancillary products
  • Saturday rotation in operations department
  • Scan, sweep, index and verify documents in the bank’s imaging system
  • Participates in training seminars and webinars; keep up-to-date with regulations and bank policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one-year related clerical/administrative experience or training
  • Banking and/or bank operations experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality of work
  • Handle changing priorities in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding customer service
