ECP is a market-leading SaaS software solution that enables senior living communities to better care for their residents. ECP is used in over 6,500 communities around the world. We're looking to further expand by increasing the number of customers that use our software and increasing the scope of how we serve our customers by developing and releasing new products.

We're looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer to join our Product team, who is excited to make an impact at a fast-growing 60-person company. This role is new to our organization and will be the first UI/UX team member hired at ECP. We are looking for someone to operate as an experienced individual contributor, while helping to establish UI/UX best practices in collaboration with our Product and Engineering department heads.

Ultimately, you will make our product more user-friendly and intuitive to attract and retain customers. You’ll be working on a set of products that we’ve built in house, in various stages within the product lifecycle.

ECP's headquarters are in Wisconsin, but we are open to remote candidates within the U.S. This is a full-time employment opportunity, we are not open to contract or freelance applicants.

  • Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
  • Conduct user research, build out user personas and usability studies; perform analysis of research data to enhance user experience
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user journeys, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how products and features would look and function, including high-fidelity mockups
  • Prepare and present design ideas and prototypes to internal teams and key stakeholders
  • Design graphic user interface elements (e.g., buttons, icons, tabs, menus, widgets)
  • Communicate ideas clearly with the product management team and communicate specifications clearly with the development team
  • Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)
  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
  • Keep abreast with competitors and industry trends

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
  • Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
  • Knowledgeable about HTML, CSS, and JS
  • Portfolio of design projects
  • Knowledge of wireframe & high-fidelity mockup tools
  • Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
  • Up-to-date knowledge of design software such as Figma, Invision, Sketch, Zeplin, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
  • Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Good time-management skills
  • Analytical mind with a business acumen
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
