Job Description
MECHANICAL ENGINEER III (Expert)

Duties and Standards to Measure Workmanship and Quality:

Expert in Solidworks or similar CAD software.

Ability to create electromechanical designs without support from Engineering Manager.
 
  • Electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic & computer systems

Must be able to troubleshoot a faulted electromechanical system and give fault diagnosis or fix.

Ability to troubleshoot and modify existing PLC/HMI program to resolve an issue.

Ability to write PLC & HMI programs from scratch.

Understanding of integrated robotic systems.

Proficient in tolerancing drawings to increase machining efficiency.

Ability to work with machine builders to prioritize machine production and oversee machine assembly & cabinet wiring.

Expertise in material selection for production application and machine design.

Ability to prioritize projects and collaborate with floor managers to maintain production.

Some knowledge of CAM software with CNC mill and lathe machining.

Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and how to apply them.

Intermediate knowledge of thermodynamics and heat transfer.

Conducting experiments and evaluations to improve and innovate product designs.

Write technical documentation for machine operators.
 
Analyze problems or deficiencies and develop solutions to resolve them.

Education and Experience
Requires Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 6 or more years of experience.
