On behalf of our client, Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking Early Childhood Assessors in Milwaukee, WI. As an Early Childhood Assessor, The Early Childhood Assessor LTE is responsible for assessing children on early childhood language, literacy, and math skills. This position requires independent transport to centers, four assessments per child, accurately calculating and recording assessment scores, as well as engaging and redirecting young children to remain focused on the assessments. Time spent administering the assessments at the centers is compensated at $35/hour for each completed assessment. Time spent uploading data at the end of each day worked is compensated at $25/hour. This position is temporary and will begin the week of April 15th with paid training and last approximately 4 weeks or until the case load of 50-60 assessments is completed.

Responsibilities of an Early Childhood Assessor:
  • Completes company training on administering assessments.
  • Spends 8-14 days working for the Spring assessment period in our schools.
  • Paid virtual training
  • Spring Term Period: April 15th to May 17th 2024
  • Administer the assessments with a case load of 50-60 children, working 3-4 times at the center per week, completing around 5 assessments per day, plus upload data at the end of each day (total work per day up to 8 hours).
  • Scores assessments and submits them via FedEx, UPS, or USPS.
  • Participates in assigned meetings, events, and training as required.
  • Performs any and all other duties (functions) as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Masters or PhD preferred; active enrollment in a Masters/PhD program also considered.
  • Experience with data collection is preferred.
  • Experience teaching children is preferred.
  • If offered the position, must give consent to the performance of a background and motor vehicle record check.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation along with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and on a schedule
  • Demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills, especially using Google Suite apps; spreadsheets, basic data management systems and internet navigation.
  • Must be honest, dependable, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Work is generally performed in a school, learning center, or office environment.

  • Noise level in the work environment is moderate to occasionally loud (examples: classrooms, light to moderate traffic, human voices).
  • Standard office equipment generally used includes:
    • Telephone.
    • Personal Computer (monitor, keyboard, and mouse) or Tablet.
    • Printer/Photocopy Machine.
    • Calculator.
    • Fax Machine.

May be required to operate a motor vehicle during the course of duties.
