Description:

As an Environmental Technician, you'll play a vital role in meeting the environmental needs of our shop. Embrace the opportunity to reduce, reuse, and recycle while creating a safe and clean environment. Operating mostly with this hands-on role is 100% on the plant floor.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Dump chip hoppers using a forklift.

2. Empty trash cans throughout the shop and restrooms.

3. Clean restrooms once per shift.

4. Mix coolants and add coolant to machines when necessary.

5. Breakdown and bale cardboard boxes.

6. Check concentration levels on machines.

7. Recycle used coolant safely and efficiently.

8. Cut filter media for machines.

9. Run the floor scrubber.

10. Clean coolant tanks.

11. Assist Maintenance Technician's in Preventative Maintenance measures

12. Assist in other areas as needed by the facility requirements.


Job Specification:


Competencies:

- Ability to complete tasks independently.

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

- Leadership skills demonstrated through example and knowledge sharing.

- Problem-solving ability in situations with limited standardization.

- Prioritization skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

- Compliance with safety policies and procedures, reporting any unsafe activities.

- Participation in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

- Calculation proficiency for figures and amounts.


Requirements:

- 1+ years of experience as a Forklift Operator required.

- Valid drivers license required.

- 1+ years of related experience preferred (Training provided to the right candidate).

- Understanding and knowledge of ISO standards preferred.
