Steward

Job Summary:

Our Food and Beverage Stewards are responsible for ensuring that our Food & Beverage facilities, equipment, supplies and products meet the most stringent cleanliness and sanitation standards, thus providing our guests with enjoyable and safe dining experiences. Stewarts provide key support to our Culinary by providing them with the equipment and supplies they need in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities and Duties Include but Not Limited to the Following:

• Washes dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashing machines or by hand.
• Maintains kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Places clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
• Sweeps, scrubs, mops and washes floors, counters, walls and other surfaces.
• Stocks supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
• Receives and stores supplies.
• Cleans and disinfects garbage bins.
• Transfers supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks.
• Informs supervisors when equipment is not working properly and when supplies are getting low, and orders needed items.
• Assists cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed, and provides cooks with needed items.
• Performs additional duties as required by management.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Related experience preferable.
• Must meet Food Handler training and certification requirements.
• Basic understanding of basic cleaning methods and procedures.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with speed and quality.
• Great personal hygiene and grooming standards.
• Must understand English.
• Ability to follow instruction.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Works well with others.
• Good communication skills are an asset.
• Good organizational skills.
