Food Runner/ Busser

Job Summary:

The Food Runner/Busser is responsible for providing excellent guest service by ensuring timely delivery and clearing of food and beverage items in the restaurant at Ramada Plaza Nags Head Oceanfront. This is a part-time, hourly position located in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. This is an individual contributor role and reports to the Restaurant Manager. The compensation for this position is $10 to $12 per hour, paid biweekly.

Responsibilities:

- Set up and maintain the restaurant’s dining room by ensuring tables are properly set with supplies and condiments
- Deliver food and beverage items to guests in a timely and efficient manner
- Follow proper service standards and etiquette while interacting with guests
- Bus and clear tables, ensuring they are clean and reset for the next guests
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the restaurant
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders
- Communicate regularly with management regarding any guest feedback or concerns
- Complete opening and closing side work as assigned by the Restaurant Manager
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain knowledge of menu items and daily specials
- Attend and participate in team meetings and trainings as required

Requirements:

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication and team work abilities
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid food handler’s card
