Benefits:

Production bonus of up to $750 per month.

Eligible the first of the month after date of hire (Health, FSA or HSA, Telehealth, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance (Company Paid), Short Term and Long Term Disability (Company pays 50% of premium), Voluntary Benefits).

Vacation – Vacation is accrued each pay-period. Accrual rate is based on years of service.

Sick Leave - Accrued from date of hire - up to 48 hours per year.

Holiday Pay - Eligible from date of hire.

Profit Sharing Plan - Eligible to participate after 90 days of employment.

Job Summary

Under direct supervision, this position will prepare, and powder paint a variety of surfaces including, steel and aluminum and is responsible for routine and preventative maintenance painting duties, including a full range of specialized painting projects. Specialized painting projects include, but are not limited to painting large structures, perform inspections, clean ups, proper storage, and disposal of paint products and operating various tools and equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Read job orders and inspect workpieces to determine work procedures and materials required.
  • Hang or remove materials, parts, or workpieces from paint line track system.
  • Remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust from surfaces in preparation for paint application, using abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks, or sandblasters.
  • Start and stop operation of machines, using levers or buttons
  • Fill hoppers, reservoirs, troughs, or pans with material used to coat, paint, or spray, using conveyors or pails
  • Spray prepared surfaces with specified amounts of primers and decorative or finish coatings.
  • Place coated workpieces in ovens or dryers for specified times to dry or harden finishes.
  • Adjust controls on infrared ovens, heat lamps, portable ventilators, or exhaust units to speed the drying of surfaces between coats.
  • Operate lifting or moving devices to move equipment or materials to access areas to be painted.
  • Identify common and peculiar coating defects, determine their root causes, and implement corrective action.
  • Responsible for cleanliness and organization of work area.
  • Requires moving, lifting, or carrying sometimes large sign components.

Education/Experience:

  • 2-3 years of manual labor experience
  • 1-3 years powder painting experienced desired
  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Operation Monitoring — Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
