We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Transportation Civil Engineer to join our team in Richfield, Utah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for contributing to the development of transportation master plans, pavement designs, roadway designs, pavement preservation designs, traffic modeling, and all other related transportation work. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that have a significant impact on transportation infrastructure. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop transportation master plans that align with client goals and regulatory requirements. 
  • Conduct analysis and evaluation of transportation systems, traffic patterns, and infrastructure to identify areas for improvement. 
  • Design and develop pavement solutions that ensure durability, safety, and cost-effectiveness. 
  • Utilize industry-standard software and tools to create detailed roadway designs, including alignments, cross-sections, and profiles. 
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and drawings to communicate design intent and recommendations. 
  • Conduct site visits and field inspections to assess existing conditions and monitor construction progress. 
  • Provide technical expertise and support during project meetings, presentations, and public hearings. 
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in transportation engineering. 
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, budgets, and project schedules. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering  
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation engineering 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or microstation. 
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to solve complex engineering problems. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients. 
  • Knowledge of relevant design standards, regulations, and guidelines (e.g., AASHTO, MUTCD, FHWA). 
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
