Job Description

The sandblaster will use specialized tools to clean and smooth our metal trailers. The sandblaster will prepare materials for painting and installation by operating sandblasting hoses that remove corrosion, old paint and other imperfections.  Sandblasting will be the primary job of this position with the secondary being a parts cutter to our welding department.  

• Remove dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces
• Set up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment
• Load and unload the blast cabinet
• Cut parts for welding department

Other responsibilities are to properly maintain and care for the equipment and to follow safety procedures to ensure not only your safety but also the safety of people around your work area. Therefore, it’s essential to understand written and verbal instructions and to develop strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience working with or removing heavy metals a plus
• Physical stamina
• Flexible schedule
• Familiarity with power tools
