Job Description
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· Pass physical and drug screens
· Always work in a safe manner
· Lift and move 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally
· Travel, which requires overnight stays, in the USA
· Be self-motivated, accountable and follow instructions
· Use logic to determine step-by-step procedures in work
· Look at two dimensional drawings or pictures and visualize how they would look as three dimensional objects
· Solve Problems making decisions based on quantifiable information
· Frequently climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, or other high structures
· Alternate positions as tasks require: stoop, lay, bend, squat, kneel, and crouch
· Coordinate eye-hand movements
· Full use of hands and fingers to reach for, manipulate, and handle objects
· See and hear well (either naturally or with correction)
· Perform a variety of duties which may change often
· Operate a wide range of machinery
· Welding experience is a plus
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
· Dismantle machinery or equipment, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools
· Moves machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
· Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and legs, using hand tools and power tools
· Aligns machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, lasers, and plumb bobs
· Assembles machinery and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures using hand tools and power tools
· Repair and lubricate machinery and equipment
· Selects cables, ropes, chains, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves according to weight and size of load to be moved
· Attaches load with grappling devices such as loops, wires, ropes, and chains to a lift point
· Set up, brace, and rig hoisting equipment using hand tools and power wrenches
· May direct workers engaged in hoisting of machinery and equipment
· Communicate using a hand-held radio
· May perform all duties of General Laborer, Skilled Laborer, Pipe Fitter, Welder
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Varying heights
· Work in fluctuating outdoor weather conditions
· General office, yard, and shop areas
· Uneven/slippery work surfaces, excessive noise, and fumes from paint, welding, and exhaust from time-to-time. Exhaust system is in place.
· Multiple work levels: ladders, bins, stairs, and ramps
