Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and prioritize daily work orders received from Supervisor to optimize efficiency in production runs.
  • Utilize job ticket worksheet to input setup details into the computer system.
  • Enter setup code, run code, and relevant comments into the workstation computer.
  • Configure and fine-tune machinery to ensure accurate folding, gluing, and packaging of products.
  • Perform color matching and quality checks on printed packaging materials.
  • Operate machinery to manufacture products in accordance with company and customer specifications.
  • Record total pieces, finished product, and weights in the workstation computer.
  • Coordinate with assistant to efficiently complete setup procedures and production runs for each order.
  • Provide ongoing training to assistant personnel and periodically switch duties with assistant operator.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of manufacturing experience, preferably with at least one year of related machine assistant or operator experience.
  • Proficiency in mathematical calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Ability to follow written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions.
  • Capacity to lead a crew effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Legible handwriting for recording information and completing forms.
  • Problem-solving abilities to adjust equipment, processes, procedures, and products to meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Color identification skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Word, and Excel.
