Assistant Project Manager - Electrician Cherry Point and Camp Lejeune

ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER NEEDED

Well established electrical construction company. Job includes estimating, scheduling work activities, placing orders, assembling technical submittals, assembling O&M manuals, coordinating work with general contractors, change order proposals, preparing requests for information and monitoring job progress and workmanship.

Assure that the project is operating in the most cost effective manner. Prepare RFIs and track responses. Prepare and track technical submittals. Procure material, place purchase orders, and track vendor fulfillment. Assemble O & M manuals and prepare as-built drawings. Maintain concise documentation of the project. Prepare job specific safety plan and activity hazard analysis. Communicate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, foremen and PM. Attend and actively participate in project coordination owner/contractor/architect/engineer meetings as necessary. Research and preparation of change requests to resolve design issues for approval by PM.

Must be US citizen and fluent in the English language. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work well under pressure with good oral and written communication skills. Able to proficiently use computer programs (Word, Excel, Adobe, BlueBeam, etc.). Must be able to read and interpret contract documents, shop drawings, and contracts. Must have a positive attitude and be willing to do what it takes to get the job done. Basic knowledge of commercial electrical work. Able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks. Honest, dependable, drug-free, with no criminal record. Stable employment history. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Pay commensurate with experience, field of degree, and familiarity with electrical construction. Paid vacation, holidays and health insurance.
