Abatement Worker

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Abatement Worker to join our team. As an Abatement Worker, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to mold remediation, asbestos abatement, and restoration projects. Your expertise in building materials and OSHA regulations will be crucial in ensuring a safe and effective work environment.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct mold remediation and asbestos abatement projects according to industry standards and regulations

- Remove and dispose of hazardous materials, such as asbestos, lead, or mold-infested materials

- Set up containment areas to prevent the spread of contaminants during abatement procedures

- Use specialized tools and equipment to safely remove hazardous materials from buildings

- Follow proper procedures for handling, packaging, and transporting hazardous materials

- Clean and restore affected areas after abatement procedures are completed

- Adhere to safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to minimize risks and maintain a safe work environment

- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient completion of projects

Qualifications:

- Abatement Certifications

- Proven experience in mold remediation, asbestos abatement, or related field

- Knowledge of building materials and their potential hazards

- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety protocols

- Ability to use specialized tools and equipment for abatement procedures

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting or working in confined spaces

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
