As part of our expansion efforts, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Automatic Door and Access Control Specialist to join our team.

Job Description: As an Automatic Door and Access Control Specialist at Rapid City Window and Glass, you will play a crucial role in providing expert installation, maintenance, and repair services for automatic doors and access control systems. You will work closely with our clients to assess their needs, recommend appropriate solutions, and ensure the seamless operation of their automatic door systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and program automatic door systems and access control devices according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct on-site assessments to determine the feasibility of automatic door installations and identify any potential challenges or requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop customized solutions that meet their specific needs and budgetary constraints.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of automatic doors and access control systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with automatic door systems, including electrical, mechanical, and software-related problems.
  • Provide training and support to clients and end-users on the proper operation and maintenance of automatic door systems and access control devices.
  • Keep accurate records of service calls, work performed, parts used, and customer interactions using our CRM system.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices related to automatic doors and access control systems.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience installing and servicing automatic doors and access control systems, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Working knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems, electronic components, and basic programming concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail when diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.
