Overview

The Maintenance Planner Scheduler is responsible for coordinating the maintenance department inventory and documentation. Will assist Maintenance Supervisor by providing direction and/or coordination of activities related to Maintenance associates and contractors engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, equipment, and maintenance of building, grounds, and utility systems. Fully supports operational teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Supports operational teams on setting priorities and resolving issues.

• Marks and stores parts in stockroom according to prearranged system.

• Order parts and equipment, track inventory, create reports, compare purchase orders to invoices, verify physical inventories, locate parts as need, and create shortage reports.

• Review job orders to determine work priorities.

• Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.

• Develops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.

• Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify.

• Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.

• Directs training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with maintenance and company policies and procedures.

• Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

• Education: Associate degree or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Skills: Strong maintenance background.

• Comfortable in fast-paced environment.

• High degree of organizational, prioritizing, planning and motivational skills.

• Ability to motivate and work well with maintenance and operations crews to solicit input and develop ownership of key processes.

• High level of computer skills (JDE, MS Office, Excel, Power Point, Word) and capable of learning new applications.

• Travel: None.
