Job Description
Instrumentation Electrical Technician
$36.00 Hour / 5-day work week 40 hours a week.
Monday to Friday 7:30AM to 3:30PM
Must have Valid Driver’s License and complete Background and Drug Screenings.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but English is a requirement.
```Duties:```
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Installs, calibrates, and/or repairs a variety of instrumentation, control equipment, flow meters, transducers, generators, transfer switches and control panels
-Maintain, repair, and install electrical systems, instrumentation and various equipment associated with utility plants, lift stations, reuse facilities and all related facilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts.
- Install electrical components such as transformers, circuit breakers, switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters and plumbers to ensure proper installation of electrical systems.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
```Requirements:```
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial, commercial, or residential settings.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in the trade.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings to determine wiring layouts.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues.
- Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina for working with hand tools and performing tasks that require bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting.
- Understanding of low voltage and high voltage systems.
- Frame carpentry skills for building structures to support electrical components.
