Facility Maintenance Technician

This role is located in Crested Butte, Colorado.  Preference will be given to candidates living within the Gunnison Valley.  This role will require employees to reliably commute to work daily.

General Purpose:

General Facility Maintenance performs a diverse range of activities involved in the maintenance of the Skyland Clubhouse, Ski Club, and surrounding operations.

Essential Duties:

• Perform general repairs and maintenance for all areas within the operations, including but not limited to, electrical, mechanical, and structural aspects of the building and the grounds.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of interior and exterior of the facility including but not limited to, sweeping walkways, picking up litter, and rearranging outdoor furniture.

Report major maintenance concerns to Clubhouse Manager in a timely manner.

• Perform general landscape maintenance using handheld equipment.
• Operate small machinery to assist with edging, trimming, and mowing.
• Operate utility vehicles for hauling materials and removing debris.
• Identify and report to supervisor/manager when supplies are needed.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Seasonal tasks, including snow removal, when required.
• Performs other duties as required.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to crouch, stand and reach.
• Regularly lift 25+ pounds
• May include long periods (6-8 hours) of standing, walking, reaching, bending and scooping.
• Noise level may be moderate to loud.
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions.
• Education/Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Possess high ethical standards with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Ability to work flexible hours including AM, PM, weekends, and holidays as required.
