Provides senior level functional support and analysis for one or more of the university's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application modules.

  1. Designs, develops, and implements system modifications and upgrades to enhance functionality of one or more assigned ERP application modules.
  2. Drafts business case documents, specifications, and flow charting for changes to business processes.
  3. Performs preliminary/cursory testing and recommends improvements for assigned application modules.
  4. Resolves complex system issues reported by UHS business owners and end users.
  5. Leads priority meetings with UHS business owners and end users to identify critical issues and discuss system updates. Reports issues to application lead or technical staff as needed.
  6. Analyzes system modifications and navigation infrastructure for functionality and efficiency. Creates component customization for department end users as needed.
  7. May serve as a campus security administrator for an assigned ERP application module. Review requests and assigns appropriate security roles.
  8. Schedules training sessions, creates job aids, and conducts end user training.
  9. Creates and analyzes standard and ad-hoc queries and reports.
  10. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

Bachelors and 3 years experience

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.

HRIS manages the day to day support of the systems that support the following areas: HR, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Time and Labor and Recruiting for all UH Campuses. The HRIS Analyst will support these areas by managing security, configuration, reporting, interfaces and troubleshooting user issues. This includes support for transactions and projects that can cross over to Finance and Campus Solutions.

  • This position will report directly to the HRIS Manager for HR Operations.
  • Experience in commitment accounting as it relates to the funding of positions in HR is a plus.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Excel are required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to establish relationships and partnerships with other university departments and offices.
  • Act as HCM subject matter expert and collaborate on projects with both internal and external partners. Act as a liaison between our HR and IT with regards to system changes and other projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, problem solve, and exercise excellent judgement, demonstrate critical thinking skills and adapt to shifting priorities in diverse settings.
  • Highest level of professionalism and respect for confidentiality.
  • Position may be eligible for Alternative Work Arrangements (hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days remote)
  • Salary for this position starts at $95,000 (DOE)
