Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and professional full-time housekeeper to join our team. This position offers 401K and Medical Insurance coverage upon hire. Experienced professionals can make up to $25/hr. with an opportunity for additional hours and pay. Our main priority is our pets and their care. You will also perform a variety of housekeeping duties, including vacuuming, mopping, surface cleaning, dusting, changing and laundering linen. We are looking for an applicant who will pay close attention to detail and uphold the highest performance standards. The right person is reliable, thorough, but fast, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily care of cats, including, but not limited to, feeding, brushing, petting, playing, litter cleanup, and tracking.
  • Attention to the needs of animals and reporting any issues to owners immediately.
  • Take the cats to the vet and run other errands as needed.
  • Performing a variety of daily and monthly cleaning activities, in accordance with cleaning binders, including but not limited of:
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing. (Following the Martha Stewart methods.)
  • Performing general sweeping, scrubbing, mopping of hardwood, laminate, or tiled floors.
  • Vacuuming and cleaning carpets, performing further proper treatments such as shampoo or stain-removal as needed.
  • Disposing trash from bins and containers.
  • Dusting and polishing furniture, fittings, and room accessories.
  • Scrubbing sinks, basins, bathtubs, showers, and toilets.
  • Making up beds and changing linens as required.
  • Gathering used linens such as sheets or towels for laundering.
  • Cleaning windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and counters.
  • Cleaning up and organizing outdoor living spaces.
  • Ensuring all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
  • Properly cleaning upholstered furniture.
  • Maintaining cleaning equipment, supplies, and products; ensuring safe and sanitary storage and care of products.
  • Reporting repairs and replacements needed when encountered.
  • Paying high attention to detail with required tasks.
  • Following a regular work regimen.
  • Handling deliveries, service providers, contractors, vendors, and sending emails.
  • Assisting with outside chores and light gardening.
  • Feeding birds and cleaning outdoor bird feeders.
  • Taking initiative.

Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable caring for special needs pets.
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors.
  • Reliable mode of transportation required.
  • Weekend and holiday pet care will be required periodically.
  • Previous cleaning experience preferred; training will be provided.
  • Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
  • Being capable of prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Working quickly without compromising quality.
  • Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine, with ability to stand for long lengths of time.
  • Ability to develop and maintain solid working relationships with service providers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Being organized and able to follow a schedule.
  • Be able to refer to manuals and other provided materials for housekeeping care specifics and clarifications.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with others.
  • Hard worker.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos along with ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to lift at least 25-50 pounds.
