About the Position:

The Human Resources Assistant will provide administrative support in the functional areas of the Human Resources department, including recruitment, personnel records, employee relations, benefits administration, organizational development and training.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact regarding all HR related inquires and requests, both internal and external.
  • Responsible for the record keeping of personnel related data (personal employee information, employment changes, I9's, leaves, etc.) in both paper and electronic formats and ensure that such records are maintained in accordance with all applicable laws and Company policies/procedures.
  • Generate and submit reports on HR activities such as turnover, cost per hire, benefits participation, etc.
  • Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, orientation, training, and retention of employees in accordance with the Company's hiring process, personnel policies, and budget requirements.
  • Participate in the performance management process.
  • Respond to unemployment claims and communicate with EDD as appropriate.
  • Prepare departmental and companywide communications such as announcements, emails, and other correspondence.
  • Fulfill requests for subpoenas, VOE's, and other HR related documents.
  • Maintain the HR calendar and schedule HR related meetings and activities.
  • Lead various initiatives and activities to cultivate and maintain a positive, productive, and inclusive company culture and employee morale.
  • Attend webinars, meetings, events, and training seminars to keep abreast of the latest HR developments
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Fluent Spanish - Required
  • 1+ year of HR and/or recruiting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organization, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with others in a professional, tactful, and sensitive manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and self-manage and work well as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS/ATS; specific knowledge of ADP WFN is a plus!
  • Proficient with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and work experience; PHR or SHRM-CP is a plus!

Pay Transparency: In order to comply with equal pay and pay transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $20.21-24.41 per hour. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
