We are currently seeking a highly motivated Millwright Supervisor to lead all maintenance  functions related to the manufacture and production of large diameter steel line pipe at our Steelton facility located in the heart of Pennsylvania’s Marcellus Shale region. Our mill produces straight seam DSAW pipe in diameters ranging from 24” to 42”, in grades up to X-80 and in lengths up to 80’.

Responsibilities:

• You are responsible for ensuring that safety procedures are always followed.
• This is a hands-on job where leading and working with the employees should be expected.
  • You will work with hand & power tools, welding, burning, hydraulics, motors, drives, wiring, etc.
• You will Evaluate systems to determine when maintenance repairs need to be performed.
  • Develop maintenance procedures and schedules, plan work assignments and project schedules.
• Monitoring plant operations to ensure that equipment is operating efficiently.
• Communicates with other departments to evaluate reliability of company equipment and systems.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
• Maintaining inventory of parts to ensure that repairs can be made quickly and efficiently.
• Overseeing the electrical and mechanical maintenance staff to ensure that the plant is being properly cared by leading the selection of plant maintenance staff; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline procedures.
• Planning and implementing maintenance activities based on anticipated needs, by conducting inspections to identify potential problems with equipment or processes before they become a serious issue that affects plant production.
• You will oversee the Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program.

 Qualifications include:

• (2-3) years’ experience in a maintenance management position required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering / or related experience
• API Pipe experience preferred; but not required.
• You have the required technical skills to understand/interpret complex machinery and equipment.
• This is an hourly position with overtime, 2nd shift, and some weekend work required.
• Should be proficient with Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs., twist and turn, kneel, and stand for long periods of time, climb a ladder, and work overhead as required.
