Montessori Teacher

Legacy Creators Academy, an esteemed private school offering an alternative education in St. Charles County, is currently in the process of recruiting a dynamic and experienced Montessori teacher to join our K-8 program. Legacy Creators Academy is a new school set to open its doors in July 2024. We are seeking a reliable, trustworthy, and innovative educator who possesses a strong and knowledgeable background in both Mathematics and Science, while also having a background in wrestling, playing piano and/ or jiu-jitsu. The selected Montessori teacher will play a vital role in creating engaging lesson plans and curricula that foster the social, physical, intellectual, and emotional development of our students, as well as assessing their individual needs and maintaining open lines of communication with parents.

We are specifically seeking a teacher with a robust foundation in literacy instruction and a genuine passion for teaching in small class settings. A strong background in Mathematics and Science is essential, and experience with an Orton Gillingham-based literacy program would be highly advantageous. As our teacher, you will be responsible for designing comprehensive lesson plans, delivering instruction to students, and assessing their progress through grading assignments. Additionally, you will be expected to contribute to extracurricular activities, assist with school events, and cultivate a positive and secure learning environment for our students.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in immersive language learning techniques and demonstrate the ability to develop curriculum and activities that provide hands-on learning opportunities. Remuneration for this position will range from $60,000 to $65,000, commensurate with experience.
