Assist the supervisor and follow up on batching and production processes to ensure compliance with operating standards and in sync with the production schedule. Proper batching procedures while maintaining GMP and corporate standards. Actively leads the evolution of a robust Quality and Food Safety Culture by reinforcing the importance of Good Manufacturing Practices and protecting the quality, food safety, integrity, and legality of our products and processes. The position requires a demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on product safety, legality, and quality.

Days/hours: 3rd from 10pm to 6:30am - 6 days a week (Days Schedule varies)

Hourly rate: $20.00 to start
Requirements:
* At least one year of bottling experience is required (Prior working experience with bottling goods and the bottling process)

* GMP, FDA, CIP food or beverage manufacturing

*Must read and speak English

PRINCIPAL ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES

▪ To follow up on the implementation of company standards for products and processes during shift responsibilities

▪ Duties and responsibilities are weighing materials and combining them in a mixer to create products.

▪ Before a new production run verify that all ingredients and materials have been properly stored and will not spoil a batch.

▪ Mixes beverage concentrate and other ingredients to produce syrup by following established recipes and procedures.

▪ Makes mathematical calculations to make adjustments in recipe amounts based on the size of the batch to be mixed in order to

meet quality standards.

▪ Cleans, sanitizes, and operates the batch room and equipment in compliance with F.D.A. and G.M.P. standards.

▪ Evaluate prepared syrup according to texture, appearance, flavor, and other specified standards.

▪ Records the amount and kinds of ingredients, coding data, and other appropriate information on Batch Sheets and other required Syrup Room documentation, double check the LOT numbers to ensure the correct ingredient is being added.

▪ Manages syrup inventory to ensure optimum use of ingredients in accordance with code dates and Lot numbers “FIFO”.

▪ Samples shipments to verify weights, measures, coding data, and other evaluations for product control.

▪ Wears and utilizes appropriate safety equipment.

▪ Completes all required Food Safety and GMP training and demonstrates compliance on a continual basis.

▪ Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.

▪ Use a touchscreen control panel to select batches and CIP tanks.

▪ Work in a variety of locations within the batching or brew skid understanding large-scale food processing facilities.

▪ Assist in maintaining the standard formulas are correct for each batch produced and operating procedures.

▪ Ensure a safe operation, complying with the corporate accident prevention program, and following safe work practices.

▪ Make sure that all equipment is maintained and operated according to GMP practices.

▪ Inform supervisor of issues with engineering and sanitation depts. regarding the required maintenance of equipment and facilities.

▪ Complete and maintain all company standard processes & compliance records.

▪ Promotes Company policies and procedures including safety and work rules, etc. Complies with policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Food Safety FDA regulations, etc.)

▪ Performance of other duties that are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies, and procedures

Technical Skills

▪ Personal Computer Skills – Ability to learn how to effectively use and operate computer software programs such as Microsoft Excel and Word.

▪ Must be able to mathematically be able to add, subtract, divide, and multiply in order to calculate the amount of water to add to each batch.

▪ Ability to stand (60%), walk (15%), kneel/squat (10%) and bend (15%) for 8 hours. Ability to lift approximately up to a maximum of 100 pounds, approximately 4 times per hour from floor to waist. Ability to reach from 4 inches up to 6 feet. Ability to climb stairs and maneuver under belts. Ability to use the back (twisting). Ability to push/pull the upper and whole body. Must be in good physical condition.
