DESCRIPTION:

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing general HR, EH&S and Benefit administrative support, including HRIS, staffing, and training as well as special projects.

Essential Duties:

  • Participate in the new-hire on-boarding process. Enter new hires into HR system, prepare orientation packets, prepare employee files, coordinate with IT, payroll, benefits, and facilities, collect required documents such as Form I9, wage forms, administrative forms, etc. and scan and upload to HRIS system.
  • May assist staffing in tracking applicants/resumes and interview scheduling.
  • Maintain ADP Workforce Now portal available to managers and employees for online training and communication.
  • Utilize the HRIS system to create and analyze regular and ad hoc reports for managers and senior management.
  • Perform data entry, report creation, data analysis, process improvement, system testing and audits, and other HR related employee activities.
  • Process documentation and assist the HR, EH&S and Benefit teams in unemployment, workers’ compensation, disability claims and other leaves of absence.
  • Coordinate employee off-boarding process. Schedule exit interviews and manage the exit processing.
  • Direct employees to appropriate resources.
  • Special research projects and reports as needed.
  • Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Human Resources, Business, etc.) or equivalent education and experience preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in an HR role within a corporate environment; manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Solid understanding and experience working with ADP (Workforce Now) HRIS platform required.
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to synthesize data and write concise reports.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
  • Experienced individual to operate with independent initiative within established guidelines and make sound process improvement suggestions to help ensure effective and efficient processes.
  • Easy going yet highly professional demeanor showing discretion and confidentiality with respect to employee, client, and company issues.
  • Ability to keep impeccable records and to sustain attention to detail under conditions requiring speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks and keep deadlines with minimal supervision.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB:

  • Sitting for long periods of time and repetitive hand, wrist, arm, and shoulder movements.
  • Occasional walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, or crouching; reaching overhead, and using hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Reaching with hands and arms; talking and hearing instructions and sounds.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
