At Kaman Corporation, the Network Administrator reports directly to the Manager of Infrastructure and is a member of the infrastructure team. They provide support for all Network Infrastructure hardware and software across the enterprise on a daily or “on-call” basis.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Manage LAN/WAN networking technologies across multiple sites.
  • Manage and maintain Aruba Wireless infrastructure, hardware and configurations.
  • Manage and maintain edge Firewall technologies.
  • Support installation and maintenance of network systems including software releases, patches and systems upgrades.
  • Interact with peers and end-users to troubleshoot and resolve Network issues.

Qualifications


REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong experience with Network Hardware (Aruba, Arista, HPE, Cisco).
  • Experience with supporting always on VPN technology.
  • Working knowledge of Aruba wireless.
  • Cloud Based Phone System fundamentals.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and interested in continuous improvement.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly and accurately document procedures and configurations.
  • Good interpersonal communication - works well in a team environment.

EDUCATION/PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of Network Administration experience
  • Certification and/or training in Cisco Routers, Aruba Wireless, SDWan Technology

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Because of the critical nature of support needs, this individual may be required to work on weekends and/or evenings and must be available to respond to "calls" and be on site within one hour of notification by the company. This may include occasions when out-of-town travel is required on relatively short notice.
