Sodexo is seeking a full time Registered Dietitian (CDCES preferred) to join their dynamic team at Billings Clinic. This position provides outpatient care to Pediatrics and Maternal Fetal Medicine. This position requires specialized diabetes knowledge and a CDCES is preferred.  

 

This position is responsible for facilitating the education management of patients with newly diagnosed or poorly controlled diabetes from point of entry into Billings Clinic through the continuum of care.  The strength of the role is in education and active collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and physician to promote quality patient care. The ideal candidate promotes effective utilization; monitors health care resources and assumes a leadership role with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal clinical, financial and resources outcomes. This position develops and provides education to Billings Clinic staff, patients as well as to care providers and family members of diabetics.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Registered Dietitian credential with a CDCES advanced certification (or willing to obtain the certification) is preferred to provide care to the patient population and broad knowledge base in diabetes care; 
• Prior acute care experience either as a Registered Dietitian or during an accredited dietetic internship; 
• A strong desire to continue learning and advancing clinical skills;
• The ability to work well with physicians/providers, nursing, and ancillary staff and work collaboratively as part of a team;
• Experience with utilizing electronic health records charting and /or (Cerner).

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) (Note: For those seeking registration after 2023, a master’s degree will be required)

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision

 

Credentials Requirement:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
• Specialty credential in area(s) of focused practice, as applicable, or advanced practice certification (RD-AP/RDN-AP)
