We are currently seeking a candidate for our Field Safety Coordinator position to support our Permian Basin, Texas projects. Our projects are regulated by federal and state laws which require all employees to successfully pass criminal background checks, MVR, and drug tests (post-employment and random testing). JOB SUMMARY Field Safety Coordinators work with corporate management to update, monitor and continue the development of company safety policies, procedures and training programs for new and existing OSHA and DOT issues, and all state mandated programs. Field Safety Coordinators will have project responsibilities to ensure the projects safety compliance is the top on the industry. Job Responsibilities: Leads, plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) - Communicates with safety director on safety compliance concerns and preventative actions - Advises field crews and operation on safety procedures and any known issues - Plans and implements training for employees in work site safety practices - Maintains safety files and records - Performs safety surveys and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures where indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented - Develops and monitors equipment maintenance program. - Ensure equipment is being inspected daily and maintenance is up to date. - Conducts post-accident investigations and prepares, reports, and identifies possible accident causes and hazards - Assists in the development, evaluation and upgrading of safety programs - Assists and maintains environmental reports including storm water permits, SPCC etc. - Other duties as assigned or needed - Responsibilities are divided 60% in the field and 40% in the office Job Qualifications - Associate degree in occupational safety or related field - Or 2+ years of experience as a field safety coordinator in the pipeline construction industry - Prior pipeline construction experience - Knowledge of and ability to enforce all federal, state, local and Company safety regulations/requirements - Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures - Knowledge of: PPE, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Scaffolding, Crane/Rigging, Hazardous Communication, Equipment Safety, Incident Investigation, Traffic Control, OQ Training - Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work - Attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Interact effectively and professionally with the public, customers, co-workers, and supervisors - Strong organizational and planning skills - Proficiency in MS Office - Willing and able to travel to all construction offices and job sites o Ability to maintain a valid driver s license. WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
