HIRING BOTH A CNC LATHE AND CNC MILLING MACHINIST $22-28/HR DOE

Responsible for setting up and operating production machinery to manufacture products in accordance with specified manufacturing requirements. The primary focus includes lathe and milling machine operations, program maintenance, in-process inspection, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Lathe Machine Operator
• Ensure the availability of necessary tooling, cutters, and equipment before initiating production.
• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines efficiently.
• Perform adjustments and troubleshoot production jobs as needed.
• Produce parts according to specifications and prepare new equipment for production.
2. Quality Control & In-process Inspection:
• Conduct in-process inspections of parts using quality control inspection tools such as calipers, comparators, and gauges.
• Follow established procedures to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
• Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to correct deviations.
• Document and report any non-conformities or issues in the production process.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy, precision, and conformance to specifications.
3. Program and Production Maintenance:
• Make minor program offsets and adjustments to optimize machining processes.
• Handle the separation and containment of precious metals in compliance with relevant guidelines.
• Conduct routine/preventive maintenance and housekeeping of the shop area.

MILLING MACHINE OPERATOR - Set up and operate milling machines to produce metal parts.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine specifications.
• Select and install appropriate cutting tools and fixtures for each job.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
2. Quality Control:
• Inspect finished products for accuracy, precision, and conformance to specifications.
• Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to correct deviations.
• Document and report any non-conformities or issues in the production process.
5. Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
• Provide input on tooling and equipment upgrades to enhance productivity.

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical training is a plus.
2. Requiring at least 2-3 years’ experience working with Lathes.
3. Read and interpret prints accurately to execute manufacturing tasks.
