Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Location: Ruby, SC

Job Description: Soliant is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Ruby, SC. The Special Education Teacher will provide instruction and support to students with special needs in a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities, in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Plan and deliver instruction that addresses the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students with diverse abilities
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate varying learning styles, abilities, and needs of students
• Use evidence-based teaching strategies and assistive technologies to support student learning and achievement
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, progress, and IEP goals
• Participate in individualized education program (IEP) meetings, team meetings, and professional development activities as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in special education or related field
• Valid South Carolina state teaching license with special education endorsement or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
