2nd shift Supervisor

We are seeking qualified candidates for a temp to hire Supervisor position at a well known manufacturing facility that makes packaging materials.

Location; Georgetown KY 

Shift: 2nd - 4:45 p.m.-2:15a.m.

Pay: $19.50 - 20.75 Based on Experience 

What you will do: 

• Responsible for the day to day management and safe operation of the 2nd Shift or shift assigned.
• Recruits and trains new production personnel.
• Establishing and maintaining staffing levels of the shift(s) to efficiently run the operation.
• Will serve as a member of the Safety Committee and the main safety contact on the shift.
• Conducts documented daily Safety Audits and follows up on issues discovered.
• Ensures that proper training requirements are completed per HR requirements.
• Conducts employee performance evaluations and performs disciplinary counseling as necessary.
• Aids team members in troubleshooting product/process quality problems.
• Monitors and administers internal quality corrective actions and ensures proper quality procedures and standards.
• Assures the proper documentation of all operating procedures, instructions, processes, and parameters.
• Ensures the quality of all packaged products meet the customer's expectations by performing all required quality checks according to the CPG Quality Policy.
• Works in the most efficient manner to meet key operational goals while monitoring production rates to minimize the cost of labor
• Responsible for ensuring products are received as verified by Material Handler.
• Communicates to Plant Manager, Customer Service Manager, and the Customer any discrepancies.
• Conducts Cycle Counts per plant schedule on a nightly basis. Also ensures that all Load Tags, Finished Inventories, and Component Inventories are accurate.
• Be forklift certified in order to fill in for associates as the situation warrants.
• Maintains housekeeping to CPG Standards and ensures the production lines and surrounding area are properly cleaned at all times.
• Participates in and facilitates TPS activities.
• Responsible for maintaining the key performance indicators necessary for continuous improvement.
• Continuously seeks opportunities for improving quality and performance.
• Required to develop and maintain continuous improvement teams as designated by management.

   

  Requirements/Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or over
  • Must comply with clients' substance abuse & background  policy
  • HSD/Equivalent 
  • 2-5 yrs experience in Industry field  or related industry 
  • Must possess basic computer knowledge including Microsoft office (word, excel)
  • Familiarity w/ HRMS is a plus
  • Must possess basic typing skills
  • Must possess intermediate telephone skills
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Must possess the ability to read, write and speak English
