A Westside real estate company is looking for a Senior Property Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of your assigned properties to ensure that accuracy, compliance, and efficiency are maintained in accounting processes. To be successful in this role, the Senior Property Accountant will need to have strong analytical skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to hit the ground running when they come on board. What do you need for this Senior Property Accountant role?
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of real estate or property accounting experience
- Must have experience with Yardi
- CPA is a huge plus but not necessary
- Oversee all aspects of accounting, reporting, and analysis for a number of properties in an assigned portfolio
- Completion of month-end close process
- Review and reconcile property-level financial statements
- Monitor property performance and financial metrics, identify areas of improvement, and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Ensure compliance with all standards, regulations, and tax requirements
- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes
- Assist with implementing internal controls and procedures
