Your daily responsibilities as a Consultant Senior Accountant will generally include:
- Provide support during preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Lead the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial results
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring proper classification of transactions
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies and irregularities
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts
- Prepare comprehensive reports to support management decision-making
- Assist in coordination of external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA is a plus
- Experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
