Job Title: Leader, Production Scheduling & Planning

GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:

\n

To maintain balance and integrity in the scheduling methods required to support internal and external customer demand successfully and efficiently. Through the management of the master production schedule, this position maximizes the company’s ability to succeed in capacity and long-range planning.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Leadership and Talent Development

    \n
  • Highly engaged with Production Team to conduct routing, flow-path, and capacity analysis for optimization. 
  • \n
  • Lead planning team and set the daily priorities for team to ensure daily and weekly production goals are met. 
  • \n
  • Supports and ensures EHS is fully engaged in maintaining a safe work environment and culture.

Cross-functional Collaboration

    \n
  • Maintains, influences and improves digital status reporting for all active build projects
  • \n
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders on schedule adjustments, feasibility, and lead times
  • \n
  • Clearly communicates to Manufacturing leadership all gaps, opportunities, and constraints within the Master Production Schedule
  • \n
  • Coordinates schedule improvements in parallel with Value Stream Leaders to maximize efficiency, cost, and Quality
  • \n
  • Provide guidance and expertise to develop production team knowledge relative to schedule optimization
  • \n

Operational Planning & Forecasting

\n
    \n
  • Translates cross functional demands while balancing current and future operational capacity
  • \n
  • Creates, monitors and maintains the ERP Master Production Schedule
  • \n
  • Understands and pro-actively coordinates all value stream capacity planning efforts
  • \n
  • Effectively communicates with Production Planning to understand supply or demand changes to the Master Schedule
  • \n
  • Coordinates schedule improvements in parallel with Value Stream Leaders to maximize efficiency, cost, and Quality
  • \n
  • Engage with Value Stream Leaders on insource/outsource opportunities within the Master Production Schedule
  • \n
  • Incorporates and improves internal system dependencies within the order-to-delivery process
  • \n
  • Collaborates with both the Inventory Control and SPB groups on the forecasting and availability of inventoried and just-in-time product
  • \n
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining valid build schedules and releasing orders to support production and service parts requirements
  • \n

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

\n

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field preferred

\n

Experience:  6+ years of materials planning or relevant experience required. ERP, MRP, DRP systems (IFS preferred), including configuration control. Experience working in ISO certified organization.

\n

Licenses/Certifications: APICS, Lean Six Sigma

\n

*Or equivalent combination of education and experience in Engineering, Supply Chain or Operations.
