**POSITION IS LOCATED IN MCPHERSON, KS**

Job Title: CNC Machinist
Location: McPherson
Shift: 8:00PM-6:30AM,  No weekends.
Salary: $20+/hour depending on experience 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Translate detailed part drawings into production measurements.
• Ensure adherence to company guidelines in every machine procedure.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and parts lists.
• Interpret measurements and verify specifications.
• Set up CNC lathes according to blueprint specifications.
• Operating shop tools (drill press, vertical band saw, horizontal band saw, etc.) and precision measuring tools (I.D. and O.D. micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, etc.), applying proper speeds and feeds.
• Operate manual machines to cut, shape, and finish parts to specified dimensions.

• Perform turning, milling, drilling, and other machining operations.
  Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.

CNC Operator Skills:

• 1+ years of experience operating production machinery.
• Extensive knowledge of machine maintenance and operation.
• Strong basic math and shop math skills; trigonometry knowledge helpful.
• Proven experience working with gauges and calipers.
• Possession of a valid Driver’s License or Forklift Operator’s License.

Machinist Qualifications/Skills:

· Excellent coordination and mechanical skills

· Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety

· Solid written and verbal communication skills

· Proficient in math

· Basic computer skills

· Ability to lift to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.

CNC Lathe Machinist Requirements and Qualifications:

· All applicants must be able to pass a drug test.

· Completion of an apprenticeship or training program

· Journeyman-level experience is a plus

· Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) is a plus.

· Familiarity with measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers

· Experience working with various metal and plastic materials

· Technical ability and basic math skills

· Valid Driver’s License or Forklift Operator’s License
