We have a unique opportunity for you to join our Operations Leadership Rotation Program.
Participants will complete a two year rotation program focusing on leadership/interpersonal skills, business/product knowledge and Aerojet Rocketdyne Business Operating System (ARBOS) principles.
Site assignments will vary based on business need and include rotations within the: Space Business Unit (California, Washington, and Florida) and/or the Defense Business Unit (Virginia, Arkansas, and Alabama).
Start date for this position will be in July 2024.
Essential Functions
Rotation Descriptions:
Operations Rotation
Develop a broad understanding of the manufacturing process including how upstream COE inputs affect production execution.
Assist work center area management in ensuring daily tactical execution of work in the area. Utilize safety, cost, quality, and scheduling measures to monitor performance. Utilize turnbacks and data to identify top drivers, develop recovery actions, and monitor improvements.
Manufacturing Engineering Rotation
Learn core concepts of manufacturing by applying cutting edge technology and lean principles.
Assist work center area management in activities related to hardware manufacturing including but not limited to: reviewing engineering drawings; developing manufacturing planning; modifying and maintaining tooling; leading manufacturing readiness reviews; writing NCR dispositions with quality; and applying lean concepts to improve processes
Supply Chain Rotation
Develop strong understanding of how Supply Chain Materiel Management plans and executes business and program strategies across its supply base to fulfill program and production needs.
Assist work center area management in activities including but not limited to: supplier identification and onboarding; subcontracting and government compliance; supplier performance management and forecasting; program specific supply chain strategy development; supplier development; and strategic sourcing.
Scheduling and Material Planning
Develop strong understanding of how Material Planning, Program Planning and Scheduling, Production Scheduling, Schedule Integration, and Earned Value Management support and align with established business objectives.
Assist work center area management in activities related including but not limited to: Material Planning, Production Scheduling, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Integration and applying lean concepts to improve processes.
Quality Rotation
Develop strong understanding of the Aerojet Rocketdyne Quality Management System enabling 100% mission success throughout the product lifecycle.
Assist work center area management in activities related to product acceptance, process compliance and product manufacturing, assembly and test execution. Quality discipline task exposure includes; quality engineering, mission assurance, product acceptance, metrology and calibration, audits/assessments, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), supplier quality assurance and quality documentation control.
Note: Participants will only complete 4 of 5 possible rotations.
Continuous Improvement
Learn the Aerojet Rocketdyne Business Operating System (ARBOS) methodology and tools. Act as an ARBOS Champion by applying the tools, co- facilitating events, and implementing improvements as assigned during each rotation.
Work with Talent & Organizational Development leaders to continuously improve the quality of the rotation program.
Personal Development
Develop broad functional and technical knowledge, skills and abilities in preparation for future leadership opportunities.
Develop a cross-business, cross-functional network while receiving guidance and mentoring from key leaders.
Present outcomes to leaders at the completion of each rotation.
Actively participate in career path conversations including but not limited to: Long Term Career Goals, Short Term Career Goals, Strengths, Opportunities, etc.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
Bachelors or Master’s degree. Operations-related degrees a plus (Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Quality or Manufacturing).
Minimum of four (4) years of experience.
Proven track record of successfully achieving and/or exceeding performance expectations.
