Clean Room Operator 1st & 2nd Shift

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT:

With reasonable accommodation if necessary, operates a wide variety of machinery to print high quality card documents that meet or exceed customer requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS :

• Sets up Clean Room machinery to include Manual Collator, Hot Stamper, Semiautomatic Collator, CM80 Teknek, LP 5570 Laminator, SCS 78 Guillotine Cutter, CP 2021M Card Punch, CI 200 Card Inspection Machine, CCT 6000 Laser Engraver, CCS 2003 Card Counter, 46T Quickpack Shrink Wrap Machine , ink, camera and computer systems.
• Operates Clean Room machinery in accordance with established procedures and Quality Assurance standards.
• Maintains operating and malfunction/downtime log and required production documentation (manual and “IMPACT” ERP system)
• Read “job jacket” and related documentation to understand customer specifications, including ensuring the use of correct screen for a given job.
• Maintain correct color and registration for a job.
• Follows quality standards, maintains close tolerances, performs quality checks and enters Quality non-conformances (QNCRs) into Intelex system.
• Sets up and operates Clean Room in the same manner as required for Clean Room per the Clean Room SOP and Work Instructions
• Performs routine maintenance and clean up.
• Trains new employees as required
• Assists with examining product when needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Working knowledge of computer applications including MS Office and some experience with other manufacturing software
• Previous printing experience
• Basic computer skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Good visual acuity and color vision
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, or reach 12 hours.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to adhere to stringent security and safety rules.
