Title: Service Event Coordinator

Reports To: Director Of Service

Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey


Shift: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Role Description

Cenmed Enterprises is a family-owned and operated business representing thirty years of ongoing experience through 2 generations in the medical supply and distribution industry. We seek an event Coordinator with expertise in contracting vendors and subcontractors to perform services for medical and laboratory service-related customers to fill an open role in our Equipment Maintenance Management Solutions department.

The Service events coordinator reports to the Service Director and works with the Supply Chain Manager. The Service events coordinator works directly with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure quality, safety, and budget and schedule service events. They adhere to estimated budgets and build strong supplier relationships. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated team player willing to jump in and assist where needed.


Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000


What you'll be doing:


  • Coordinate with Cenmed's customers to identify and schedule the best quality and cost suppliers.
  • Manage supplier performance, verify compliance with purchase orders, and perform other duties as necessary to complete the service events.
  • Documents and gains appropriate approval for all change orders.
  • Respond to requests for quotes from internal Sales organizations.
  • Review and approve all field service reports using standard operating processes.
  • Develops favorable relationships with suppliers to secure the most advantageous position for cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Manages and coordinates the purchase order process with Cenmed accounts payable.
  • Monitor job progress daily and notify management of problems and non-conformances.


What you'll need:


  • Associate degree or high school diploma with 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and people skills are a must.
  • Understanding schedule estimating, cost tracking methods, forecasting, vendor, and contract management.
  • Solid time management and demonstrates excellent organizational skills.
  • Proven interpersonal, conflict resolution, and persuasion skills.
  • Proven multi-tasking capabilities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.


Preferences:


  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • CAPM or PMI-SP certifications.
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt.
  • Prefer 3 - 5 years of related work experience in a field service, project coordination, and supplier or vendor management role.


Work Experience:

  • Typically requires 5+ years' experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
  • Thorough knowledge of the functional regions under supervision.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time through highly developed organizational skills.
  • Ability to set practical and challenging objectives.
  • Intermediate-level computer skills in Microsoft Office.
