Position summary:

Computes, classifies, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties.


Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Include the following and other duties may be assigned:

 

  • Responsible for accounting mail distribution;
  • Print all company checks; daily and weekly check runs. Obtain appropriate approvals on checks;
  • Coordinate check printing directly to remote offices;
  • Void all checks as needed;
  • Review certified payrolls as needed and update accounting records;
  • Reconcile intercompany billings and receivables;
  • Checks on hold review and update;
  • W-9 collection and recording;
  • Outstanding checks reconciliation;
  • Credit card reconciliation;
  • Assist with sales tax audit;
  • Indexing and filing as needed;
  • Support project accounting department as needed.


Education, Experience, & Qualifications:

  • AS in Accounting (minimum of Accounting 101 and 102 courses) or 2+ years of bookkeeping experience;
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite of programs such as Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Proficient in the creation of spreadsheets
  • 10 key calculator operation
