Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Inventory/Logistics Manager. In this position, you will be responsible for ordering materials needed for both mixing/retail sales locations and fostering new vendor relationships. We are looking for someone with experience in landscape/agriculture/farming/construction. This position also requires the management of subcontracted dump trucks needed to provide efficient and effective deliveries to customers.


Duties & Functions

  • Manage and supervise branch employee’s daily schedule and operations.
  • Ensure employees are trained and thoroughly understand their job responsibilities.
  • Conduct weekly crew leader meetings, reviews, and counseling sessions as needed to improve employee performance and foster career development.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through a service-oriented approach and controlled urgency.
  • Respond to all customer requests in a timely manner, via email, phone or text.
  • Maintain and submit logs for yard materials and equipment inventory weekly.
  • Ensure all vehicle and equipment inspections are being done at proper intervals.
  • Relay important information or concerns utilizing the proper chain of command.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Regional Operations Manager
Requirements:

Qualifications & Standards

  • Familiarity with landscape materials, scope of products and services (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of Netsuite for creating work orders and invoicing (preferred)
  • Ability to manage time effectively and remain 2-3 days ahead on work requests.
  • Ability to work in both an office and field setting in a professional manner.
  • Must be an organized and efficient worker.
  • Must be a strong leader with experience in landscape/agriculture/farming/construction management or like fields of at least 1-3 years.
  • Must be able to work independently and with minimal direct supervision.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to problem solve and think critically in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to take initiative, be proactive and seek continued improvement.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet company insurance requirements for past driving record.
  • Knowledge and use of basic computer programs including Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience working with skid steers (preferred)
