Advance your career with Koger Home Care as a On-Call PCA. Koger Home Care, LLC. is seeking a On-Call PCA (Caregiver) for West Columbia, SC, and surrounding areas. We are seeking a caregiver who is well-versed in personal care, and caring for for clients of all ages. The caregiver must be able to provide direct care such as bed-baths, showering, dressing, mouth care, grooming care, medication reminders, incontinence care, and assist with standby assistance. PCA must be able to assist with client mobility and transfers, including lifting and positioning. Additionally, the caregiver needs to be able to provide light housekeeping, companion service, meal preparation, pick-up prescriptions, etc. The PCA candidate must be COVID-19 vaccinated, and be able to work with pets in the home.
Work Schedule: Candidate must have open availability from 6 AM - 10 PM, 5 days/per week. Open availability is required, because On-Call PCA must be available to work last-minute call outs during the requested availability window. The On-Call Caregiver will be reimbursed for 35 hours weekly, regardless of whether shift coverage is needed. If no shift coverage is needed, the PCA will be expected to work in the office or assume other PCA duties, if needed. Overtime will be reimbursed if PCA works over 35 hours weekly.
Requirements:
- The caregiver candidate must have a minimum of 2-3 years of verifiable professional caregiver experience;
- Pass the 10-year SC SLED Background Check/Drug Screening; and have a negative PPD test.
- The PCA caregiver candidate must have a valid SC Driver's License, auto insurance, and a personal vehicle.
- PCA must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated, and able to work with pets in the home.
- Ability to travel to any clients location inside the offices perimeters.
- Must be available by phone for last minute or "on-call" shifts.
- Candidate must have experience in direct care for clients of various age groups, and working with individuals requiring assistance with activities of daily living
- Must be available two weekends each month for potential shifts.
- On-Call PCA is still required to attend all staff meetings and CEU training.
