Construction Laborer

Douglas Brooke Homes is expanding their Renovation and Remodeling division and is looking for a construction laborer to add to the team.  The right candidate will have basic carpentry skills blended with customer excellence.  This is a great opportunity to grow your skills and your role within this new division. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist with interior and exterior demolition, including removal of counters, cabinets, flooring, trim, drywall, windows, doors, siding, fascia, and soffits. 
• Assist carpenter with installation of interior and exterior doors and windows, cabinets, shelving, casings, baseboards, molding and trim. 
• Setting up and removing floor protection and dust abatement. 
• Maintain cleanliness of the job site. 
• Hanging and finishing small projects.
• Minor interior and exterior painting. 
• Other minor basic construction tasks as required. 

Requirements:

• Familiarity with hand and power tools used in construction projects.
• Ability and desire to work in a collaborative team environment. 
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. 
• Experience with Buildertrend a plus!

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing, bending and kneeling. 
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to work safety with sharp tools and power equipment. 
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains. 
• Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work in a high dust area with proper PPE. 

Pay:

$17 - $19 starting based on experience
