Wiley University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Dean of Graduate, Entrepreneurial, and Leadership Studies. The primary goal of this position is to provide leadership for the development, implementation, and assessment of the instructional programs, curriculum design and implementation, faculty recruitment and development, and accreditation compliance for the graduate programs at Wiley University. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Provides direct administrative oversight of the operations of the graduate programs, including entrepreneurial and leadership development.
  2. Works with the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Strategic Retention to advance the strategic priorities of the University and the division.
  3. Collaborate with academic departments, faculty, and staff to enhance teaching and learning effectiveness, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and foster innovation in academic programming within the graduate programs.
  4. Develop and implement strategic retention initiatives and interventions to support graduate student persistence, engagement, and success throughout their academic journey.
  5. Cultivate partnerships and collaborations with career services, academic departments, student support services, community organizations, and external stakeholders to enhance student success and retention efforts as well as workforce development efforts.
  6. Engage in cross-functional collaboration with enrollment management, financial aid, counseling services, and other university departments to provide comprehensive support for student success and retention.
  7. Participates in academic advising for all graduate students.
  8. Regularly evaluates student learning outcomes for annual assessment reports.
  9. Stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in higher education related to student retention, academic advising, and student success initiatives.
  10. Supports the shared governance process in the development, modification, and implementation of University policies and practices in support of the University’s mission and strategic goals.
  11. Provides leadership, oversight, and coordination of various divisional, cross-divisional, and system-wide initiatives
  12. Works in close partnership with the other Academic Deans for instructional best practices, curriculum design and innovation, and professional development.
  13. Ensures effective communication between the Vice President for Academic Affairs’ office and all other University divisions, the President’s Office, and the external community.

Qualifications

An earned doctorate or terminal degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution, a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in academic affairs, student retention, or related areas in higher education administration, strong analytical skills, data-driven decision-making abilities, and experience with data analytics tools and assessment methods, excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, and knowledge of accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in academic affairs and student retention.
