Maintenance Technician - Spring Valley Ohio Facilities

From our locations in Jackson, WI and Fostoria, OH, we serve a wide variety of customer markets including distributors, co-ops, and retailers throughout the United States and internationally. Our Fostoria, OH plant is eagerly seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team! 

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the general mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair of all Spring Valley equipment at our Fostoria area sites. This maintenance position is an industrial/production setting. This job description is not all inclusive and may change from time to time, as deemed necessary by the company. 

Job Overview:

• Preventative maintenance and repairs on engines, motors, hydraulics, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines such as hoppers, screeners, mixing machines, bag sealers, and scales.
• Troubleshooting malfunctions by observing mechanical devices in operation
• Fabricating repair parts by using machine shop tools and equipment.
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories, placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Support Head of Maintenance in all ongoing and future initiatives, and complete additional projects as needed.

• Ability to work independently, with a partner, and a group of co-workers at various points of the day.
• Basic computer knowledge
• Previous experience, degree, or knowledge in blueprint reading, schematics, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, engines, maintenance/repair of heavy equipment/machines in an industrial environment, etc.
• Ability to lift over 50lbs
• Comfortable using ladders and working at heights up to 90 feet
• Have reliable transportation to get to and from work
• Ability to pass a post-offer drug screening
• Ability to transport themselves & perform work at multiple locations throughout the day (Main plant on Route 12, and two on N Main St, with more locations possible in the future.)
• Outstanding attendance and punctuality. 
  
• Ability to wear PPE including but not limited to: safety toe boots, safety glasses, harnesses, dust masks, work gloves, and hearing protection. 

Shift:

• 1st shift hours (6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday). Overtime as needed

Pay:

• $20-$27/hr starting pay depending on skills and experience.
• Daily Production Bonus (paid bi-weekly)
